AboutThe Guber Family Giving Fund, initially the Steve L. Guber Gift Fund, was initiated and funded by Steven L. Guber, M.D. in 2006. At the time of its inception, Steve had a vision of transitioning the fund to a family gift fund. This vision came to fruition in 2018 and the name was changed to Guber Family Giving Fund. In addition to funds provided by Steve, each of Steve’s brothers' families now contribute to the fund.
Although there are a number of contributors to the fund, the grant review committee consists of Steven Guber and his seven nieces and nephews and their spouses. These individuals are responsible for promoting the Fund, identifying grantees and reviewing grant applications. The Fund provides grants to 501 (c)(3) organizations that address the needs of disabled an disadvantaged populations in communities in which one or more of the funders reside. The following communities are currently included: Denver, CO, Boulder, CO, Ft. Collins, CO, Leadville, CO, Alameda, CA, and San Luis Obispo, CA. |
